Energy saving  is an attitude, that needs to be practiced from early childhood. Children are needed to be educated from school level. To create awareness among the children on energy saving and renewable energy, the essay competition program has been initiated at school level. This program has been embedded in the National Electricity Week event. All schools/madrashas are eligible for this competition.Every year topic for essay has been selected through a national level committee on energy efficiency and renewable energy issues. In the first phase, the competition was held at upazila level.  That selection goes to District level, then to Division and finally to the Central committee. 3 students are being selected for awarding prize on the occasion of Electricity Week. Essay competition is one of the motivational approach on energy saving and that helps to spread the message of energy saving through this competition.
